Only if it is convienent Fomo. I don't want to burden you.
I think there will always be a character that will always have some kind of advantage againest you. (Should I say Metaknight?)
I liked that 3 match thing. It was really fun. If one didn't work try a second.

So this tournament is in a little more than a week (3pm Sunday Afternoon). And I was wondering, "Have we ever done a team tournament?"
We could set it up so that teams were random so you can't walk into the tournament with a set game plan. The teams would be for the entire tournament not just one match. We could do it exactly the same as the double elimination singles tournaments we've done in the past (3 stock, even levels, no items, 8 minutes), except with teams.
It would be a different match, and teamwork and communication would be key instead of simply out playing the other guy.
This can only work if enough people are dedicated to coming, however. If we don't have enough people coming, we would have to do a singles tourney like normal.
Post your thoughts. Perhaps this tournament doesn't have to be doubles, but I want to have a doubles tournament before my break is over.

Hm. I am a good team player. I am supportive for several people.
Double elim? We need to set a good chart, because people who won once the first round, then lost the 2nd. they sort of just chilled there.
I wouldn't mind doing a doubles, but I would want some singles too.
BTW. Is team attack on?

I know how to set up a double elimination bracket. Leave it to me.

The teams will not be preset. They will be choosen at random at the site of the tournament (my house). This stops people from making an unbeatable team, or those more skilled than others from beating down a team of people that are not as skilled.
So basically, there is no picking teams.
And go ahead and bring anyone you want. Bring 12 friends if you must. I won't be happy if only 8 people show up. Go ahead and bring snacks and such if it pleases you, but your's truly can provide munchies as well.

What happens if the random number generator puts Tony and I together? We're both really good, you might want a contingency plan if two of our best are on the same team.

I now have an excuse to see Amilli and Jessie again. Though for munchies.....will there be Pocky?

Randomness is randomness. It would be fair if someone at the calibers of me, you, or Tony, or like Burt and Chris were on a team as long as it was picked at random.
We could have those of us who are known winners of tournaments and those that arn't draw out of different hats. So someone like the experienced players each draw a number first, and then those are put back i nthe hat for the less experienced to pick. Then the matching numbers are the teams. This would pair elite players with non-elite players, balancing the teams, but true randomness would be non-existant.
BTW, even though me and c307 are enemies, we can beat you and Tony (yes, that's a challenge).
And what is pocky? I don't know what that is so I probably won't have it.
