I'm alliance and I play a mage on Ravenhodldt with my friends from college. I do have Horde on Wildhammer, so if you wanna play with me, go on Wildhammer. I only got a lvl 6 rouge there, but they can grow together.
Why did you go on Dunemaul as Horde? You can't in anyway interact with any of the guys around here at all. Either go alliance on Ravenholdt with me, or with the Dunemaul guys (who actually don't play much anymore) or go Horde on Wildhammer. I don't really play the rouge much, but if you're on there, I'll play him more. I suggest Ravenhodlt with me though, cause I can hook you up even though the alliance/horde ratio is nasty for us. It's atleast 10 horde for every 6 alliance. I even just started a warrior there too so you'd have someone to level with.

Good choice. What is your name? I will pst you, and if you want to join my growing guild, I have a personal place on my guild leader's list of awesomeness to get you in. I'm mostly on between 9pm and 2am during the weekdays. And all Sunday.
What are you rolling as well? Please don't be a paladin. The server has a strong lack of tanks (warriors or DKs) and healers (priest/shaman/ and sometimes druids) never have problems finding groups and such. Also, don't be a "huntard" which is a Night Elf hunter. But choose what you want. Those are just my suggestions.
And once you become lvl 55, you can make a DK, and put it on any server. I put a DK on Dunemaul just incase, and to keep contact a little with the guys here in the instance of them actually playing.

Sounds good. I've got an alt warrior, but I rarely play him, atleast not until I'm 80.

Do what you like, but I just advise against Huntards and pallies.

Where do you recommend I go to college? I want a degree in something science-y.

What's the legend for those BlazBlue combo pages on the internet (i.e what does 5D or 6C mean? Does it mean the number of times you input that attack or what?)?

The numbers are a general language for all fighting games spoken of on the interwebs. The number is the direction that correlates with the number pad on your keyboard if you were on the right side of the screen as player one. So for any fighting game (6) means forward, (4) means back, (3) means lower diagonal right, and so on. Get the number direction imbeded into your head, because when you read anything about any fighting game, that is what is used to distiguish direction.
Now the actual letters such as A, B, C, and D, are specific to the BlazBlue button names. The same way that the buttons in Soul Calibur are named (A) for horizontal, (B) for vertical, (K) for kick, and (G) to guard, BlazBlue has its own names. The default settings for BlazBlue have (A) set to the X button and is the equivalent to a weak attack. (B) is set to Y, and is strong attacks, and (C) is set to B and are heavy attacks that generally use the chracter's weapon or something of the sort. (D) is the drive button and is set to A. This is the character's specific special moves button that uses their drive power. Although a specific directional input and, for instance, (B) would also use a special move, the (A) button is more often, and usually host a more powerful move. For instance, Ragna has two versions of his Inferno Driver move. The first option is 623(C) which causes him to uppercut his opponent with his sword. The second option is 623(D) which does the same uppercut but launches both himself and his opponent into the sky, and has a follow up input of 6(C) -> 6(C) or 4(C) depending if you want a wall attack or to slam them back to the ground.
Another example is Jin's moveset. His normal moves use his sword, but using his drive power adds a freeze effect to his special moves, which, as you probably just thought, opens a plethora of options for Jin to attack his opponent while they are temporarily frozen.
I myself, main Litchi, who's drive power is controlling her staff. An example of what I can do is place her staff on the ground, and then use it to vault off of, can recall it to spin and hit my opponent on its way back to me, and a crap load of other things.
Every character has atleast one distortion drive too, which is similar to like a Super or Ultra combo in Street Fighter. They are moves that use (most commonly) half of your drive meter that has built up during the fight. An example of a distortion drive for Litchi is this:
632146(D) which, in English, is half circle back-> forward (D)
This move, when her staff is placed, cause it to come alive and attack my opponent by itself while she is still free to use her own attacks to rack up a huge combo and damage.
Some other examples of general directional inputs are: 236 - quarter circle forward (Hadouken!) - QCF 214 - quarter circle back - QCB 236987412 - full circle (but this is usually just typed as "Full Circle" instead of all those numbers) - FC 623 - Z motion (the classic input for Ryu and Ken's Shoryouken) 41236 - Half circle forward - HCF 4(hold) 6 -Hold back, then forward
Hint: 5 is never used. Look at your keyboard and figure out why yourself.
Hint: QCB and such are abbreviations that are somtimes used instead of 214.
Hope this helps you understand.
