This is where you can ask me any questions directly or indirectly related to college life/education/living. Don't ask for personal experiences though. I will tell stories on my own terms.

I heard College is 10x harder than High School could ever be. I believe it, but still, I find it almost unimaginable since I'm taking all AP (Advanced Placement) classes and I have no study halls.
I have a feeling it's not the work, but the terms of the work that makes it very hard. Perhaps they're relentless or you have less time to do the work?
Idk I'm basically asking for an explanation for that.

I wouldn't say it's 10x harder. In highschool, you can put forth no effort and still succeed and pass test and such. Even AP test can be passed with little to no studying. You actually get a lot more homework in highschool too, but it is more like busy work like a worksheet or something easy.
College is less stuff to do, but you really have to do it. And you have to know the material for real. For example, if you have a psychology test in highschool. You could pass the test simply by showing up for the review session the teachers has the day before. In college, there is no review seesion, and if you have not been to class or read what you need to read in the book, you will most likely fail.
I'd say the difference between college work and highschool work, is only the effort that you have to put into college work. You really do have to TRY in college to do good.
I don't know why you think there is less time to do stuff in college. Let me give you an example of a busy school day and then a lazy school day second semester for me:
Busy: 8am: Maybe wake up and go to my English class taught by someone with a thick Chinese accent.
9:15: Either go back to my room and sleep, or get breakfast
10:30: Go to my Gerontology class and actually take useful notes
Noon: Eat luch with the cool kids
Until 2:45pm: Chill out practicing guitar, sleeping, wondering around on the internetz, maybe doing some fast homework or reading some stupid shit. Talk to girls.
2:45: Go to Psychology class and take more notes that I actually study with.
Between 4pm-6pm: Do whatever (kick a soccerball with other dudes, guitar again, pick my nose, kill hookers, etc.) and eat dinner.
6pm: go to my hard as hell 2 hour computer science class
8pm: Steel band practice (fucking awesome! our CD comes out this fall, Ima give one to Mr. K for you guys in band)
9:30: Think about starting my paper due the next day and chill out.
Midnight: Still think about starting my paper
2am: Start my paper
5am: sleep till' 2pm cause I only have one class on weds.
Lazy day: Friday, no classes. Just a ridiculous house party that night full of illegal activities.

Dress wierd? lol. Everyone either dressess weird or normal. You can pick what you call it. Lets just say individuality can run wild, but so can the band wagon.

I got two words for parties at college:
Band Camp.
This is easily the most awesome week of college. Themed parties for everyday of the week. And the best thing, there will be new freshman girls that will want to know what parties are like in college and I get to teach them.
For all you band geeks (including myself) this is what that week is like:
Day 1 8am: wake up 9am:band camp starts 9pm: band camp is over 9:30pm: get cleaned up 10pm: arrive at party location 2am: pass out/sleep/cry yourself to sleep 'cause you're a loser/ cock block your friends/stay asleep 'cause you don't party/keep partying/die
Day 2-6 repeat
Oh yeah. The whole academic stuff is 'aight too I guess. But who goes to college to learn?
BTW everybody, I'm gone come August 13th and you probably won't see me 'till Christmas (maybe Thanksgiving). That's exactly a month from right now.

The actual band camp is 12 hours of non-stop marching/music practice except for a 30 minute lunch break. It is rough as hell, but we get our first show pretty much down in one week though.
