Side-B, the aptly named Waddle Dee throw. It also throws many other fun things, and its effects and secrets should be known before steping into the ring with King Dedede.
The ratio for throwing each type of Kirby enemy is 35:10:4 (Waddle Dee: Waddle Doo: Gordo) Waddle Dees walk around and jump. Or they stand around like dunces. Waddle Doos walk forward a bit, fire their beam, and repeat until they disappear. Gordos fly at the opponent and bounce off the ground. These things will take out your opponents easily. King Dedede can also pull out capsules and items to throw at his enemies. Keep in mind that he "throws" it so the opponent will usually get first dibs on what you throw. By pressing the A button near a Waddle Dee or Waddle Doo will cause Kind Dedede to pick up that creature and throw it forward. Each King Dedede can have two creatures on the screen at once.
That's about it. These little buggers are also really good at absorbing projectile attacks, so they make great meatshields for Dedede to hide behind and charge his Down-B attack.

Is it proven that if you have items off completely, Dedede throws out only Final Smashes when throwing capsules?

Yes. ... Well sort of. I am not sure what items may come out of the cap. During the Saturday Tourney @ Duo's. We had a 4 player brawl. and I was DDD. and I threw a capsule, and a fire flower came out.
