Alright everybody, sorry about the long delay. We now have an official venue for our tournament tomorrow.
The location is mobius7's house, located at the following address...
16153 Northwood Rd. NW
Prior Lake, MN 55372
Map it if you want. From school, its 13 toward downtown prior lake to right on 21 (you pass the remax realtors sign) until the next stoplight as a left onto 82. Third left onto Fremont avenue and just follow that really windy road until you see my house on the left. The house number is above.
From 42, head toward the casino or shakopee all the way to a stoplight (the next one after you pass holiday on the left) as a left onto 21, continue until the stoplight at 82, take a right until the third left onto fremont and from there it is the same as above.
I will do my best to be home soon after school. Many people know where I live. We can situate rides home when everyone is there. I would be willing to give rides myself if need be. Hopefully everyone is able to read this and knows where the tournament is.
The rule set for this tourney is:
~Double Elimination
~3 Stock
~No Items
~8 Minute Time Limit
~Best of 3 for most matches, Semifinals and Finals are best of 5.
~Neutral Stages to begin (FD, Battlefield, Yoshi's Island, Smashville on random)
~Loser counterpicks from the following:
-Battlefield
-Final Destination
-Smashville
-Yoshi's Island
-Castle Siege
-Delfino
-Halberd
-Lylat Cruise
-Pokémon Stadium 1
~Absolutely no infinites (Loyde, this is mostly for you. Don't ask me what I consider to be an infinite, we've conversed about this before.)
~Chaingrabbing is allowed, but no more than a chain of three grabs are allowed. (Open to discussion.)
~No player may choose a stage they have already won on in that set unless agreed upon by both players.
~If the timer runs out, the victor is determined first by stock and then by percentage.
~Stalling is banned.
A definition for you definitive people,
Stalling: The act of deliberately avoiding any and all conflict so that one may make the game unplayable. Running away from an opponent to reach a better position is not stalling, while doing an infinite grab endlessly against a wall is. Any infinite chain grabs most end quickly after 300% has been reached so as to prevent excessive stalling.
~Each player may announce one stage to be banned for counterpicks of the set.
Here's one that I'll leave open to debate
~Suicide kills are acceptable/banned
Did I miss anything else gentlemen?
