Ahh... my Marth. The only main of mine that had a smooth transition from melee to brawl.
I play my Marth like a real duelist. I play defensively and wait for my oppenent to leave an opening, and then I rape that opening like the last parking spot outside the superbowl. I guess you could say I play Marth explosively and with style and grace.
up B- This move is awesome. Other than the obvious boost in recovery he got compared to melee, it works really well as a launcher. Many times after an air combo, I'll use this to either kill, or just deal more damage. It works similar to Luigi's up-B launching wise. If you're directly next to someone, it does a large amount of damage and has sexy knock-back.
over B- The achilles heel of my opponent. It may seem like I spam this, but it's just that you leave yourself open to it. I use every variation of it depending on where we are on the stage. I'll end with the --> when I'm going for the kill. I'll use the v to deal the most damage, and use the ^ to get my opponent in the air for soem combo fun.
neutral B- I use this moslty after I jump and land wit ha fully charged stab. I also use it as a recovery. If I use it from a standing position it means I'm taunting you (like Diddy's charge peanuts).
down B- Counter. I'll use this when you make the mistake of telegraphing a powerful move to me (i.e. Ike's neutral B, King DDD down B, etc). I sometimes forget to use this move. I'll sometimes use it when someone wants to be a dick and try to jump and hit me while I try to recover.
Once again, if you don't play your Marth this way, we're both right. This is how I use his B moves, and not necessarily the way they should be used or can be used. But if you run into the black Marth, get ready to be frustrated, and I'm open to all Marth to Marth duels (you know who you are).
