;D ;D
HEHEHE the only trick i made myself and named it The WaveThrow, much like the WaveDash. This move can only be done with a throwable item (ex. Beam Sword.) Sry non-item users. What a WaveThrow is is when your throwing an item and your sliding across the map at the same time. Too many characters that don't have a real WaveThrow have a much less effective dodge throw.
Anyway to do a WaveThrow (on a gamecube controler. 1.First grab an item 2. Roll dodge 2.5. During the roll dodge throw the item. 3. if you get the timing right you should WaveThrow or dodge throw. 4. Half the time is spent throwing the other half should be used to set up another move. 5. Hit and laugh at the appalled foes face.
It WILL take more than one try.
Here is a list of characters i know can WaveThrow
Zero-Suit Samus Marth Pit Zelda Peach??
If you find a character that can also WaveThrow please tell me ill make sure its a WaveThrow not a dodge throw. Do not bother with the following
Bowser Ganandorf Kirby JigglyPuff Kirby Meta night Ike.
Good Luck

www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=172861That goes a bit more in-depth on this technique, who can and can't do the glide toss (official name, but I guess wave throw works too...), and how far you go when using the glide toss. Aparently Ice Climbers can do it...but they're pretty bad at it. My quoting to other boards failed, but this is what it says for distances. Smash Boards did all the stuff under this sentence, and I had nothing to do with it. ZSS up glide toss is a nice set up for a brick wall design with her opening suit pieces. It's quite effective

But still, I wouldn't doubt some of the people on there. They almost live to test out everything. Just like how they found out the formulas for Knockback and Charges.

yeah, too bad I never play with items...
i really don't see the tactical advantage of doing this.... except maybe distance spanned...

yeah, too bad I never play with items... i really don't see the tactical advantage of doing this.... except maybe distance spanned... It's really good for spacing and approach whenever you have control of an item. Pit can actually slide really far, so doing this towards the opponent while throwing the item at the opponent sets him up for crazy ass mind games.

yeah, too bad I never play with items... i really don't see the tactical advantage of doing this.... except maybe distance spanned... Tactics: Forward throw, free F-smas/grab/whatever you want (sliding backwards) forward: Good get away from me move. Up: Hit them where they think you can't hit them Down: Mindgames Backwards, same as forward except your facing backwards.
