In my boredom I've been making more custom stages.
So I'm curious: What makes a good custom stage?
I've gotten as extravagant as a level that is constantly moving, and as simple as what I like to call: "FD +1." (Large blocks straight across the bottom, no awkward ledge.)
What do you like to see in a stage?
Images and Videos welcome.

If you want interesting, I have a stage I created called the Hellevator. What the name implies is kind of obvious, so there's no real need to explain much further than that. If anyone wants it, just give me your friend code. Also, a stage called Superfluous Death. How can death be superfluous? I don't know but here, IT IS. No stationary platforms or elevators, only conveyor belts and spikes arranged in the most devilish of ways. Practically IMPOSSIBLE to actually play a competitive fight on but it is good for two things. One: Not dying below 300%. Two: Sadistic fun. Once again, just give me your friend code if you want.

I think the "Rage Cage" deserves an homonable mention. Make a box with the top lined with the falling blocks and then have people drop into the box and fight. You need items on, otherwise no one ever gets out. You can easily reach maxium damage inside that box.
It's not "competitive" per se, but it's a lot of fun.

If you ask most serious players who don't care about fun, they're always going to say a flat plat form with no weird edges and maybe an extra floating thing, or moving platform.
Me, I just think I good custom stage has to be solid, fun, usable, and does not give a certain character a HUGE advantage. There can be some advantages like there are now with Lylate Cruise having the rugged platforms gives Lucas a disadvantage with his PK Fire having it hitting the floor so many times. And the platforms are so close above him his PK Thunder is useless but his Up A is amazing.

That rage cage sounds like a more hardcore version of mine. I have the same thing, only the blocks are in the middle of the bottom, and the top is open.
Fun part: 10+ stock, and a 300% Handicap. THAT'S fun.
