A obscure anime known as Baccano! gives us a good bit of this kind of stuff. Where do I begin... 1. The immortals that star in this series. Why? They obtained immortality by summoning a demon. Not that scary, right? This demon follows all the immortals, no matter where they go, watching them for the rest of time. Then again, that depends on your interpretation of the series. Secondly, immortals can eat other immortals. No, I'm not talking about with a fork and knife. All that is required for one immortal to eat the other is for them to stick their right hand on another immortal's head and think, "I want to eat." After that, the unlucky immortal being eaten has all their bodily tissue sucked out them and into the other's hand. Bones cracking, sinew snapping, tissue being ripped apart as it is compressed and squeezed through their skull. Leaving nothing behind. And they are aware of every last bit of pain while this happens. Think about this. You don't know if another person is immortal and they could just walk right up to you and end you before you even knew what had happened. And it isn't just an immortal being a barbarian, so you're not safe if you think only psychos would. They gain every memory and piece of knowledge from the other immortal, meaning they have every reason and motivation to do this. 2. Rail Tracer. Dear god, Rail Tracer. An urban legend involving a monster who appears on trains after someone mentions the legend. It then proceeds to kill everyone aboard the train in a gruesome fashion. Of course the story is bunkus. That, however, doesn't stop our resident psycho assassin, Vino, from going around killing people in horrendous ways with his bare hands, including grinding their faces on the railroad tracks, then wiping their blood all over himself and pretending to be Rail Tracer. He then proceeds to go ahead and kill just about everyone anyway for teh lulz. Oh yeah, and he brutally tortures a child by biting off his fingers (he was an immortal though) and has an enormous god complex. 3. Ladd Russo in general. He is yet another assassin who throughly enjoys killing people, even more so than Vino. He never shuts up, even while he's killing you, wears an insane slasher smile at all times, killed a man by punching his face in, shot a little boy he did not know was an immortal in the face with a shotgun, wants to kill his fiancee (which he often tells her in a sweet, tender tone) who actually wants to be killed by him, and he is impeccably skilled in the fine art of overkill. Bloody, bloody overkill. Oh, and lest I forget: i7.photobucket.com/albums/y271/Green09/Screencaps/Baccano/vlcsnap-2017181.pngI can guarantee you will never want to travel on a train ever again! Sleep well! Baccano! Someone other than me, has watched this beautiful piece of work? Kspam, is it not the greatest anime ever? ;D Elfen Lied is just great. If you haven't watched it, go watch it now! I just adore Lucy/Nyu. I want to take her home with me Before I forget, Kspam if you want to see something scary go watch a Haunting in CT. The fact that it's based on real events just makes it fukken scary. The day after I saw that movie in theaters, I was watching the Discovery Channel and they were airing their version of a Haunting in CT. At first I didn't notice they were the same but, after a little bit of watching it I was like "What the fuck? I saw a movie about this the other day! Oh crap, it really is based on true events!"

Baccano! Someone other than me, has watched this beautiful piece of work? Kspam, is it not the greatest anime ever? ;D " Yes! Great story, great animation. And apparently most of us are hardened gore fans. No, I am not afraid of gore. In fact, I think it rather adds a certain oomph to a series. I just thought others would be a little more grossed out than they were. Vino (a.k.a Claire Stanfield) is simply the most crazy awesome character I have ever seen in any form of media. He doesn't need a knife or gun to off you. He just needs to use his bare hands to kill a person in a very bloody and over the top manner. Ladd and his shotgun? They have nothing on this guy. BAMM, I have indeed heard of Elfen Lied. I have been intending to watch it but like many things, I seem to forget (I also need to finish Darker Than Black and Code Geass >_<). I do intend to start watching it this summer, along with Serial Experiments Lain and NGE. I did make a mistake in posting things I thought others would find scary. Perhaps I should leave it to you guys to find something ;D.

So Fuu, I take it the movie is worth watching? I haven't seen it but it scored terrible reviews and I saw interviews with the real people and the police said they couldn't keep all their stories straight.
I'm sure the movie has a few good scares in it though.

From penny arcade (looking to see if they have enough money for xbox 360): "Holy shit, where'd you get all this money?!"(Tycho) "I take it from the people I kill." (Gabe) "You're crazy!" (Tycho) "I think there's enough here for two" (Gabe) "Crazy awesome!" (Tycho) Gabe is insane. There was the time he curb stomped Tycho's head against a counter, fighting for the last copy of bejewled. (I think that's what it was.)

The concept of shapeshifters. Someone who can walk around, looking like anyone, capable of basically warping everything you knew about your life and the people in it, thus making you a paranoid wreck who no longer trusts anyone he once held dear. Just hope they're in a good mood and not out for you. Bonus points to Alex Mercer, for making this even freakier by being an amoral psychopath who has to eat the person he takes the appearance of. Meaning that your friend is a mass murderer in disguise who probably wants to eat you too and that your real friend is long dead to boot. Emotional trauma and paranoia anyone? * Note: This time, I did not attempt to post something that would scare others but I didn't think was scary myself. This honestly scares the crap out of me . And as for Emergency? I. Do Not. Want. To Know.

shapeshifters are scary, until you remember that they aren't real, that's always a good thing to remember.
you know what's scary? Waking up with perfect hair. I know you're thinking to yourself "Bamm, you're retarded, that isn't scary." Then it hasn't happened to you. Seriously, wake up with hair that looks BETTER than it did the day before and you'll freak the shit out. You'll probably think that you already took a shower and all that shit, but you dont remember it. What else don't your remember? Yeah, what now.
also scary: Losing the key to the $5 handcuffs you bought 3 years ago cuz you thought it was cool. That was fuuuuuun lol

Sharp things near my neck scare me enough to make me not want to shave.

For every thought, action and inaction, decision and indecision, another alternate universe comes into being. Before you say, KSpam, this isn't scary, consider this: There is a universe where America was never established, a universe where Hitler won WWII, a universe where you and quite possibly many people you know are dead, a universe where your wildest dreams and darkest fantasies and nightmares have all become a reality. And many variation of these universes and variations of those universe etc. And don't forget all those other decisions you and everyone else has ever made. Ever. All other options have become real in an alternate universe. Of course, this only need apply if you put faith in quantum physics. Just think about the next purchase you make, however.

Will we ever visit those alternate universes during our lifetimes? No. Might as well say it's novel, and promptly forget about it. I wouldn't worry about it, ever.
