Hey guys, I found a great venue for a tourney in Chaska, and I was wondering if you guys would know a general good time to get people to go out to it including possible OoS. The place is called High Score Video Games located at
131 W 4th St Chaska, MN 55318
The owner and I are tight, and he's letting me have full reign on a tourney whenever.
Any thoughts on a good time for everyone?
Do you guys think we could make this big?
I just want to get your opinions lol.
Oh also, shall we try to do Melee and Brawl singles, or do Melee/Brawl Doubles and Singles.
If time permits, we could even do anything, but I'm not too sure how big events can work :/

That's awesome. And Chaska is a more or less quick drive. So win.

Hmm, Perhaps 11 through 6 or 7. Maybe 8. We could also start earlier, but basically revolve around that sort of time frame.
Do you guys think we could make this big?
Sure... Just note AiB, MNsmash, SmashBoards, and note all the big players who are coming like NeoMagic, Breezy, Cuddles and Deepak.
I just want to get your opinions lol.
Well, I think it's fantastic.

Idk depends on how long we want it to be and the reception. More people will come if we have something from both games. Overall though I'm ecstatic.

A big tourney (as in more than 30 people) doesn't happen during the school year, cause you won't get any Oos people and people have things going on. Try Christmas break or summer. The week or three after Christmas is best, because people in college do nothing becuase there isn't time to have a job. I'm saying this from experience. If you want people in college, which is about 70% of MNsmash people, do it over Christmas or Summer. Just make sure it's not too close to another large tournament.
And is this Tommy's new store?
Mac out. Organizing this is all up to you guys. I'll just show up if I can.

If anything, try to line it up with U of M's fall break if they have one.

November seems to be a better time for OoS.
Shoot for Thanksgiving Break?
Thanksgiving Turkey Tourney II?

Better than a random time in October, but Thanksgiving break is short, and usually amounts to just a weekend of family.
