Mr. Game and Watch's Side-B varies with the number he shows atop his head. These are the effects of each number: 1: 2% It also hurts you 2: 4% 3: 6% that "pierces" defences 4: 8% that "slashes" 5: 4x3% that zaps the foes 6: 12% and fire damage 7: 14% and food 8: 9% and freeze 9: 32% and home-run-bat knockback Most of these suck, so I personally don't use it often. If you get the 9 and hit, however, it makes it all worth it.

IT"S OVER 9000. hur. I saw a Melee G&W Montage. and the pun was used. I found it funny.
But yeah to the point. I only really like the 6 fire damage, downwards knockback. and 8 freeeze! and for sho the 9. Boom.

I was at a tourny. Playing a guy i was beating. it was like 30% to 100+%. 2nd life. He hits with a 9 judgment. It kills me. He wins the match later.
I don't like G & W anymore.

Snake: Otacon, there's a guy walking around in here...and he's only got two dimensions! Otacon: That's Mr. Game & Watch. He comes from a world where everything is flat. Otacon: Game & Watch was a series of portable games released by Nintendo in 1980. Otacon: They were powered by large-scale integrated circuits and only had mono- chrome LCD displays, so characters kind of looked like the numbers on a calculator. Otacon: The guy you're looking at now, Mr. Game & Watch, was a character who appeared in these games. Sbake: This is making my head hurt. Otacon: Well, um... He's... I mean... Look, just start fighting him, and I'm sure everything will make sense. Snake: ...
This sums up fighting against Mr. Game and Watch pretty well. If you pause to think about how he even gets hit, then it will really screw you up. Don't think about it while playing.
